For over four decades, the Technology and E-Learning Support (TeLS) Unit at the University of Zambia has established itself as a premier center of excellence in educational technology, digital transformation, and professional development. Originally founded as the Consultancy and Training Unit (CTU) within the Centre for Information Communication Technologies (CICT) in 1996, TeLS has evolved into one of Zambia's most trusted partners for ICT training, e-learning systems support, and digital consultancy services.
The Unit operates under the leadership of Technical Lead and Manager Desire Mudenda, with Friday Chazanga serving as Acting Senior Teaching and E-Learning Coordinator, all under the direction of CICT Director Danny Leza. With a team of 33 specialized ICT professionals and access to the broader expertise of the University of Zambia community, TeLS is uniquely positioned to address the growing demands of digital transformation across education, government, and industry sectors.
